Kitchen backsplash style

Hi there! I’m nearing completing my kitchen remodel and need to decide on my backsplash style. I’m going with white subway tile, recently purchasing 3x12” tiles. I’m debating between traditional brick pattern or herringbone. What’s your thoughts? Attached is a photo of the wall. The tile would go just on the back wall all the way up to the ceiling.

3 x 12 tiles are too large to lay in a herringbone pattern in your small space.

How about a grid pattern? Otherwise, brick pattern would be my choice too.

Neither. Do a vertical running bond. That will be more interesting than a horizontal pattern and will work with the size of the tile instead of against it (the way a herringbone pattern would). Alternatively, do a vertical grid-- but be aware that a grid is a much more modern looking pattern than a running bond.

Hi All - Appreciate the feedback. Went with herringbone. Had my mind set and couldn’t change. Even though contemplating for weeks. Now, thoughts on finishing the top where tile meets the ceiling. Doing a clean bead of caulk to clean edge perfectly?
