Would you call that a modern quilt? I think it is perfect for a man. I've never used the double needle on machine. Duh! I'll have to give it a try.

Theresa: it's a lap size at 56 x 64, but you can make it any size. Super easy pattern with lots of size flexibility depending on the HST you use. Saw the pattern on pininterest and MSQ had a tutorial, although I did not use their directions exactly.

Bev: not sure if this is a modern quilt or not, I think it has that flair. The double needle quilting was fun to do, used a lot of thread, but the effect saved this quilt, imho.

I think it's perfect for a man, too. Great job sticking with it! I've had a few of those projects, too - ones that don't end up where you thought they would.

I like the quilt, also. So sorry for the reason, but it is great for a man. (or woman!) I have never used a double needle for quilting - only sewing clothing. Does it make a zigzag pattern on the back of the quilt??

What is double needle quilting? I understand using double needles, as some of my domestic machines have that capability. How does it apply to quilting?
