The cutout for my apron front sink was done in one piece of quartz with no seams close to the sink. The seam is a few feet down from the sink past the dishwasher. I don't think there is any preferable edge for an apron front sink. There are some that recommend particular edges for being more chip resistant - but I can't remember what those edges are.

Depending on the rest of the layout that we can't see, I'd insist that the quartz be installed in one piece. There is no technical reason it can't be done. I would have at least a 3/8" round over edge profile at the sink and have them round the corners. This is 3/4":

Is there a cabinet filler at the end of the pictured run so the drawers will open when the casing is installed?

I was wondering what you went with? I am being told the same thing and it doesn't seem right to me either. They have already installed mine and never discussed it with me beforehand. I feel pretty disappointed because I CAN see the seam

You have unrealistic expectations. Of course you can see an engineered stone seam. It's "inconspicuous" not "invisible".

We have an apron sink and it is pieced behind the sink on esch side and its a perfect place for a seam because it is behind the sink
