I’ve been comparing the three popular types of inground pools. I’ve always thought Gunite was the superior pool but have been hearing that it is reactive with the chlorine or salt system and how low maintenance fiber glass is. Now that I’m finally ready to invest in an inground pool, I’m wondering if a fiberglass pool may be seen as a bonus or if I’m better off saving a little bit of money with a vinyl and being able to remove the pool more easily if it’s a detractor for resale.

I’m looking for a combination of a lap and recreation pool 15x34. I have a 7 year old who loves to swim and expect I’ll be doing a fair amount of outdoor entertaining with a pool. Dogs are family and Will be using the I grew up with a pool and know I will enjoy
Ait but am having difficulty deciding between the types. Living in Massachusetts, I’m worried how an inground pool will affect my home resale value and whether certain options like retractable pool cover are worth the extra cost for resale purposes.
