I think you're right in that the small round mirror you have should be on the new entry wall you've put in.

Now, I couldn't find entry walls similar to how it is in your house (fully open to the living room area), but below are some photos I found that you could possibly do.

You could do a long horizontal mirror with a long console table underneath.

Or, you could do one long artwork or several wall art pieces with either a console table or a long bench underneath (for extra seating or storage). A console would also be nice since you can put a couple of cute ottomans underneath them (like the last photo) and use them for extra seating if you have guests over. Plus, you can put extra table lamps on top to have more light source in your room if you'd like.
