Dark color maintenance ?

You mentioned that color this dark marks easily. Is this because of the color being Flat? Would a dark semi-gloss easily mark?

    Hello bhendon,

    Dark colors with a high saturation of black mark easily no matter the finish. If you go with a high sheen (such as semi-gloss or gloss) it will have an effect similar to lacquer and will therefore be less vulnerable to getting marks. Dark colors, because of their chemical makeup, are just more vulnerable to marking even when a high grade paint is used. I recommend using these where they are out of reach of children and pets to protect the finish.
