My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Northern Grown Perennials

Got my first order from them (thanks to someone on here who clued me in) and these are the largest Hosta I've ever received by mail. They make me think I'm doing something wrong since mine aren't as tall and they look to be planted deeper than I do (judging by the white at the base). Anyway, I couldn't be happier - great prices with either huge and/or multiple eyes on every plant. They were easy to work with as I had a couple trips that interfered with "normal" shipping. I actually planted some of these during a rather intense thunderstorm madly trying to stake and tape them up while dodging lightning bolts (not literally) and becoming drenched in the process.

      Steve, those look beautiful. I love ordering from Rod. He is just the nicest person, and I have been thrilled with every order.

      The first time I placed an order from him, he got hit with a freeze a couple days before he was supposed to ship my plants. He contacted me right away, told me about the damage and gave me some options. I told him to go ahead and ship them, and when they arrived, they were flawless. I honestly couldn't see a problem with any of them. The amazing part was that Rod sent me doubles of the ones he thought had damage. I was stunned. They were all huge, and to my eye perfect.

      I have ordered from a couple places and received tiny, sorry looking plants. Northern Grown Perennials has huge plants and very reasonable prices. I would never hesitate to order from him.

      Thanks for the info. My last hosta order had plants so small the whole order fit in a cereal bowl ( to soak, not eat ). Time to try someone new.

      I love NGP. Rod sends awesome plants and his prices are more than fair. Pleasure Seeker is huge! I got mine last year too and it seems to be a very good grower.

      well . . . Ken . . . sometimes we actually drive cars on our driveway . . . plus it was getting dark . . . and I got in a big order from Naylor Creek as well . . .and I think the rain kind of ruins the driveway treatment, doesn't it? . . . (Is that enough lame excuses for you?)

      I think I really over did it on ordering this winter and then having business travel and vacation plans, it's making this more of a chore than a pleasure.

      He still has a lot of plants on my want list, so I'm sure I'll be ordering from him again as well (If you guys leave me anything).

      I'll try to get some pics of everything, but right now they're staked and taped and don't reveal much.
