Donna, your One Last Dance is gorgeous! I added this last year as well. It has only started to unfurl due to our terrible spring temps. What light conditions is yours growing in?

Tiddisolo, that makes sense. I forgot and ordered from 2 suppliers last year and stuck them both near each other. I kept wondering why they look like that, the greener was smaller plant to begin with.

Dave, I'm thinking you may be right. The photo in the Hosta Library has a wider yellow margin.

Donna and Dave, thanks for solving my mystery! Initially I was upset at myself for ordering twice as I garden on postage stamp compare to most posting on this forum... so can not have same large hosta twice...

then I was concerned that other part of the plant is not getting enough sun... initial difference last year was not as prominent as this year. I wonder if I should separate them now?

Well Linda, those definitely look like two different plants, and I would want to separate them, but I'd probably also wait until next year. My OLD edge is more yellow in the beginning of the year and then turns to chartreuse later. Probably would stay yellow longer with better light. Its also possible that the margin gets wider (or narrower) as it matures. Here's a pic from today with Dancing Queen above left of it with The King on the left and Faith above right and Luna Moth in front.
