Not April Winds. Based on your brick color on my screen, I think you need the one with more green. A sage green would look great with your brick. Something similar to the trim color around this window...or lighter, if you like.

I think you need a stronger color, not so much pastel. When you do look for a new roof color, be careful that the brown you choose is not pinkish as it will clash with your yellow brick. Can you back up and post a photo of more of the front of the house?

I think you need a stronger, more bold color than the pastels. I think the pastels look too babyish. "Peach" is a tint of Red Orange and the compliment of Red Orange is Blue Green. Try playing around with some blue greens.

I agree the pastel is a bit light. Navy would be pretty, as would a more teal color.

You have a cute house and I love the brick color. Not an expert here but I agree that your sample light colors are too light. You need more boldness in the door color.

What color is the bifold door in your entry way? I'd match that, or do a shade or two darker even.

Those colors are just too insipid. It doesn't matter what color they are--they are just off-white--nothing more nor less.

And I'd rethink the shiny brass. That's what the builders put on because it's cheap. Yours may not be cheap, but shiny brass isn't an interesting/upscale choice.

no way. none of those are the correct color. you need something darker, bolder.

I like this SW Izmir Purple. goes great w/the roof and the brass.

Christine, it's a front door, not a ball gown! lol. you door is half glass, so the amount of color won't be overpowering. it will compliment the brick beautifully.

Can you at least get a sample of the gold rush (or a similar cinnamon/burnt rust color) and try it? try half of that and half of your navy and post it again? Or maybe this bm Pumpernickel?

Becky P,,,i love that navy on your garage. what color is it? your bricks are a cool red. blue is perfect with your color. a lot diff than OP's warm orange/pink/tan ones.

Wow, love the door color! Did you use a special paint for doors? Agree that a light fixture would really boost the overall look. It looks great. Please keep posting updates, it gives the rest of us ideas.

Naval looks very nice with your house and the larger light and brass hardware will be great. I recommend a gray when you change out the roof.

Thanks, all! I definitely need to tackle the exterior lights. Just haven't gotten there yet. The roof may come sooner than planned. I will probably go gray just not sure which shade exactly.

@ Anna (6B/7A in MD) I just used an exterior paint not specific for doors.

I have added lanterns in black to your entry.

Not sure why you took down the iron rails. Seems like a safety issue, but the navy paint looks good.

@ BeverlyFLADeziner Thanks! The roof is decades old - possibly even the original roof - no amount of pressure washing is cleaning that thing! We're in the process of redoing it now. The black lanterns look great! The iron rails severely dated the house and when you have a front stoop that's less than 30" from the ground, there's no need for rails per building code.
