can anyone verify.. on their plant.. whether the yellow is supposed to go down the petiole ... thats what strikes me ...

It's planted 2015. I have been trying to plant right depth, but sometimes they sunk deeper. Is this too deep.

Looks like its sporting to me. Very interesting.

Saija I think you may have Regal Supreme. Regal Splendor as Ken suspected does not have yellow down the petiole but Regal Supreme does.

I have a similar thing going on with RS. was going to post about it at some stage. will follow this thread with interest.

regal supreme is regal splendor with wider edge.

i've got an eye doing that as well. plant is about 15 years old

Can you explain a bit more what you guys are talking about planting depth? I got RS this year (still in a pot)

Mine always has some different looking leaves. I think last year it had one that was half green and half cream. Here's a pic from today. It's been in the ground 6 years now.
