Paint the outlet the same as the wall.

Nice pictures on both side, something that pops n draws the eye just on the picture. Kinda reminds me of my old house, my pics were abstract ones... :)

The tv needs to come off your fireplace. It is way too high.

I would buy a console for one side and place the tv above that.

The television overpowers the fireplace. You can have either two matching storage consoles (one on each side of the fireplace) or builtins on both sides. I would make them the same size, maybe 48" or 52" wide, wide enough to place the tv on top of the left console, a large piece of art over the fireplace, and something else interesting (art, sculpture?) over the right console...maybe an indoor tree in the corner and a beautiful wood or ceramic piece on the console. The consoles or builtins could be in a wood which is in one of the darkest tones in your beautiful floor: not to compete, but to accentuate the flooring. A large area rug centered on the fireplace could add more color and texture. An Oriental rug will probably have the color of your sofa in it.
