Cleaning Tips Design Dilemma Kitchens

Sponge stain left on newly installed tile

Help! We just had new porcelain tile installed in our kitchen. It looks great, except for a stain left on the tile from a sponge and bucket. We’ve tried to clean it with Mighty Indigo cleaner, but it didn’t do anything. Any ideas on how to clean it?

Call the installer or the company who installed it and insist they take care of the problem. If you installed it yourself, then I do not have the answer.

Ditto re if contractor installed.if you installed go to homedepot they have specific tile cleaners.

that type of tile is non porous so mark is on top of tile and can be removed.

Might be helpful to specify what was in the sponge and bucket. Porcelain is not very porous (googling suggests 0.5% water absorption rate) so it seems like the mark is likely on top.
