Where do you live? There is at least one zone 6 in every state.

How large is the yard. What
is culinary water and how does that differ from irrigation water? Why
can't you use irrigation water on underground sprinklers? Do you need a
bigger pump for the water?

Hose timers attach to the faucet at the house. I don't understand why that would not work for a traveling sprinkler.

I live in salt lake utah . the yard is half acre . culinary water is the water we use from the house and pay for. Irrigation water is almost free water coming from a near by river. I cant use irrigation water on underground sprinklers because the water pressure is low . I am not allowed to increase the water pressure witha pump at the source because that would affect the neighbours supply.

When I use a travelling sprinkler it moves along the hose, but it also moves the hose so I would need to set the hose path again each time to the original start position when the yard needs watering. That makes a timer not useful .

How about using a different hose to make the path? Will one of those things roll over a hose connector or stop? I suppose you could use PVC pipe to make the path for the rolling sprinkler.
