What sort of fertilizer are you using?

And what is the potting medium? Many regular potting soils start to break down and become compacted and so aren’t great for long term plantings.

I use organic fertilizer. I believe it is the Jobes? As for the medium I used a sand, peat moss, and an organic raised bed/potting mix.

It is the mix powder in the box. I just looked and the Jobes is what I use before in ground planting. Expert and miracle grow organic mix is what I use for the mix. ( miracle grow organic mixes terribly by the way)

I retested the PH and it is too acidic. It is reading between 4-4.5. I need to get some lime or I have seen the liquid ph adjusters at Walmart.

Here are a few more pics. Does anyone notice anything I should worry about. The trunk looks odd to me. The PH is 4.5, I have seen anywhere from 4-5.5 is ok. Thanks for any suggestions.

Actually a pH as high as 6.0-6.3 is fine. That is the natural pH of soils around here and this is a big commercial blueberry growing area and I know of no commercial growers that amend their soils.

I’m thinking of just cutting my loss on this ka-bluey. It looks like crap. Tiny “berries”. What do you all think?

I have not really considered that. My yard is heavy clay so it takes a lot of digging and soil preparation. I have little direct sunlight space left. :/

The plant actually looks pretty good, aside from a few brown leaves. Is there a chance the mix dried out? My container blueberries lost a few leaves that dried out and turned brown like that when I let them dry out. I'd keep it. The established leaves are a nice dark green.

Is a raised bed an option? Would enable you to bypass digging and amending clay.

I was thinking that those leaves look a lot like fire blight. The berries never developed into edible ones. The mix stays fairly wet.

Raised bed is a possibility as I have two lil big Apple trees next to the pot in small raised beds. I guess if I put the BB in a raised bed and it still doesn’t look good, I can take it out and put a reachables peach tree in between the apples.

Not fire blight - that is restricted to Rose family plants. It looks like the plant just got too dried out at one point in time.

And while blueberries are technically self fertile, you will always get better cropping/berry production if you plant two or more different varieties.

Ok. My Apple trees are a worry for that as well. Raspberries look ok and had a pretty good crop this year. I’m new to the fruits so a lot of learning to do.

I will have to pick up a blueberry bush from Home Depot or Lowe’s if they still have them. If not I will get order one online.
