My new sunquat / lemonquat

I have been wanting a lemonquat for a long time. A little on the fence about it, because I want a lemon version of a kumquat but not sure if this is really like that.

Finally went ahead and ordered from Harris. Of course, I missed the shipment for the week and had to wait another few days. Patience is rewarded, right?

Packaging was great, and the soil was not strewn about the box. I had a hard time picking a pot to use because of the tall, thin one it came in. So it is now kind of over-potted, which makes me nervous. It is in 5-1-1 mix, though.

Leaf canopy was a bit of a disappointment, but hopefully it will fill out. The few leaves do look healthy. It's been a few weeks and hasn't done much, but it could use some more sun. I will probably end up painting the trunk because of the sparse canopy.

I also noticed some scars on the trunk. Makes me nervous, but they are healed up. Are they still a potential area for pest and disease issues?

I guess I will have to contact Ruth to find out the rootstock.
