Are you going to get a rug? It might be good to choose that before deciding on paint/fabric. I love Leelee's fabric choices!

Really, the sky is the limit. You're right, the color of the wood can influence what color fabric would work the best.

Greens and blues that don't have any red or orange tones to interfere with the wood. Golds, too.

What colors are you leaning toward? For wall color?

No rug planned at this time. Redoing the floors sometime in the new year.

Greens and blues are my favorites so that's perfect. I'd probably prefer a green over blue for the wall.

You might take some of the pics of the fabrics to a fabric store so they can see what you're going for and let them help you come up with a cool combination. Then choose the blue or green you want for your walls from that fabric. There are so many greens--minty, blue-green, etc.

Pick fabrics first and then choose paint. It doesn't have to match exactly.
