little fats bugs in soil

W i noticed these little bugs in the pots of my roses when i disturb the soil they go crazy. There are so many of them. Could they be mites??? Are they harmful for my rose?? What do i do about them??

    Are they light green by any chance? I get something like yours they are a light colored green. When they are here there are tons of them down on the soil under a plant. At first I thought they were a type of aphid but I don’t really think that is it. Then I thought they might be tarnished plant bug nymphs. They run around like crazy when disturbed. No idea what they are yet but they do not appear to cause damage in the nymph stage. I have a feeling that as adults they are destructive but not to roses.
