Hi Houzz Friends ,

Jon and I recently downsized to a VERY small home. We are stumped on whether or not to lighten up the fireplace. We want to do whatever will open up the space and keep the texture integrity of the brick. I feel the fireplace cuts off the eye due to it not blending in with the wall or ceiling paint. We also really do not like the red/pink brick pieces ♀️

-Would you white wash with the white ceiling color or off-white wash with the light gray wall color?

-What do I do with the grout between the bricks?

*We will eventually install a black or gold ring chandelier and mount the Tv. Our style is very Restoration Hardware.
