We've been having lots of rainy days lately, plus a little extra watering on very hot days when things were wilty-looking. My new baby Silver Threads & Golden Needles and baby Dinky Donna are really taking off. Dinky Donna had a beautiful purple flower yesterday, but the "landscape workers" apparently came by to trim the Obligatory Bushes and lopped off the flower (see the evergreen trimmings scattered in the planter). Can anyone tell me if it looks like STGN is developing the beautiful markings it's supposed to have? BTW, you can see the new plant I.D. markers I just made up with the new screw post fasteners holding them to the tent stakes.

I am also amazed and thrilled at how little Cameo, which I thought was a squirrel casualty earlier this year, has catapulted into its best size yet since I planted it a couple years ago. Ditto Cracker Crumbs, which has doubled its size. I had to remove Appletini last year and put it in a pot of its own, which it has totally filled. It's HUGE this year and gorgeous. Pure Heart, as you can see, is also doing great. Yay!
