Rabbits and Hibiscus

I overwintered a few hibiscus plants last year, one of which didn't do as well as the others. Rather than throwing it out, I planted it in an unused corner of my garden. It defoliated before rebounding nicely.

Lately, though, I've noticed a small rabbit hanging around that area and a few chewed branches. This little guy doesn't appear to be interested in any of my actual plants, but he's crazy about that hibiscus.

I'm just curious if others have run into this issue. I didn't realize rabbits favored that particular plant. I'll be sure to keep them out of the garden next year.
