Thanks! Believe it or not, choosing the exact shade of white for the cabinets was the most difficult decision. Still need to do some touch-up paint where there was primer overspray into the living room, but all in all, I'm much happier in this space.

I used SW Etheral White on the cabinets (had the pros paint those - 3 coats + primer), and Behr Wood Smoke on the walls (those I painted myself - 2 coats). Choosing the color was a process of elimination. I taped paint chips in just about every shade of white on the cabinets and quickly ruled out several. Then over the course of a week I put a check on the ones I liked and X's on the ones I didn't. The one wit the most check marks was the winner. Use the same technique for choosing wall color.

My husband and I did a very similar remodel two years ago and have never looked back. He painted all cabinetry himself; youch!!!

Thanks timber2004. My heart does smile, as does my stomach. I lost 10 lbs during the remodel due to a lack of a working kitchen. Surely now I will put those pounds back on again now that it is finished.
