That "little guy" is a root stock sucker and will take over if you don't remove it.

Interesting. Tell me what do you plan on doing with a Chinotto orange? Very ornamental tree, but the fruit is rather distasteful.

With the rootstock coming out below the soil line it might grow somw roots. You could breke it off then and graftmup another tree.

They're ornamental and fairly hardy for citrus. Have you seen any other citrus growing in your region?

Blooming should occur again next spring if all goes well with the tree.

Depending on how low you want it to branch out you might want to deadhead it at some point. Otherwise it will branch out when and where it decides to (also depending on rootstock). Seville orange trees (and their close relatives like chinotto) have a tendency to naturally form a nice umbrella shape so you may not want to interfere too much by pruning.

Adjusting your watering to the potting soil and weather should be your prime concern for now. Citrus are notorious for not liking wet feet. If your potting soil is not free draining you might want to consider changing it.

Looks almost like it's in a big pot. Is it? ...or is it planted in the ground?
