Thanks. All the pix of June that I have seen, are much yellower looking in the middle. This hosta is in a very shady area - does not get much sun.

I was thinking a June in a lot of shade, too. It's quite variable depending on how much sun it gets.

You mentioned that you have divided this hosta and placed it in other parts of your garden. Are those areas all in the shade too? If so, you might try planting one of them in a sunnier location in the fall. Next year you can compare coloring.

Gina--you might go to the Hosta Library site and look up June. There is whole range of photos showing the center coloration ranging from parchment through various shades of yellow, and into the darker, more subtle coloration. As many have stated, June is extremely variable in coloring depending on how much light it gets.

Its probably June, but if it comes up more yellow and turns green, it could be Robin Hood, but its probably June

Gina, nice hosta. I recommend you pull out any solid color leaves. Get all the way to the crown. Otherwise it could revert to all blue.
