My wife purchased a maple ( Autumn blaze) tree last summer . Shortly after planting the leaves wilted and fell off . Not sure what happened we left it to see if it might bounce back in spring but the top half seems to have died but new growth is coming from the bottom two feet of trunk . A scratch test shows no green layer on top but bottom is ok . My question is will this grow back or is it best to get another tree in there ? We are in Colorado .
