Question about containers for citrus come-up quite often, maybe Al has an answer for that. Mine is not very good on this forum. Maybe he makes 60 or 70 % of the members satisfy on this subject.

For me the most important thing about this forum is hearing and learning from the experiences of others. I can always do a simple search and read about a thousand pages of some university gibberish or someone's PhD thesis that has little if any practical application; but the results of what someone has done and learned in real life is always of value and often of use.

I trust Al's thoughts and reasoning behind container culture and knowledge on plants. I remember in some post a while back he had a word or two on citrus in particular. I think he advised to repot (bare root) in late spring instead of usual June for tropicals. I tend to time it with signs of growth flush. But I had done it in June/July with no ill-effects.

If you are asking about choice of containers I do not remember him saying anything specific. I have a few plants both in clay pots and plastic pots. I prefer clay pots but it is harder to find more-wide-than-tall clay pots beyond a certain size.

Hey Bob, I agree with you very much and thanks! How about a picture of a couple of your trees?Something ? Would love to see how they are doing and in what kind of pots. Love the grafted ones. I forget what thread it was that you posted a fruit tree giving lots of fruit for seasons. Can you please share again. Very interested in acquiring one if I can grow it up here. Thanks
