I considered one for a minute but the accessories were crazy expensive. I couldn’t rationalize the expense when I can get an expandable sink colander on amazon for 20 bucks and I don’t have need for a cutting board at the sink. If I had a very small kitchen where every inch was valuable I may have gotten one.

I got one with accessories because I have a small kitchen so this enables me to prep; drain any hand washed stuff as well as wash items using the real estate above the sink. It also enables me to have a larger sink cabinet so that I can fit a normal size trash underneath.

Mine was expensive since it is copper farmhouse but I believe there are moderately priced stainless steel ones for far less than Kohler and what I think is Workstation - at any rate those are quite expensive stainless sinks but people on this forum have gotten less expensive stainless steel which they are quite pleased with.

I have one from create good sinks, and really like it. I bought only the cutting board and colander. I’m happy I made the decision to get one.

We recently installed the Kohler prolific sink. It has 3 levels of ledges and comes with cutting board, two racks, colander and bowl. It works for us. I like I can move the racks around depending upon what I'm preparing. We keep the cutting board off to the side. I would strongly suggest going to a showroom and looking in person.

In another home we had the Franke Orca sink. It has one mid-level ledge on each side. I almost purchased that until I saw the kohler in person.

czarinalex, how do you like your Prolific sink? I read some reviews that said these sinks rust quickly, but I wonder about that. Have you had any issues with rust or cleaning? Thanks for any thoughts you can give.
