I prefer all pulls. I like the continual look & the feel. Knobs for small drawers if pulls too big or vanities.

I think you just have to watch the scale of the pulls. In some of the photos on Houzz, at first glance, the pulls are the main thing that jumps out at you and I'm not sure people intended for that to be the focal point of those kitchens ...

I have much the same.... a combination of shaker and flat, although my kitchen is all white. I did pulls on everything and love the look. All of my pulls are horizontal as in the picture you posted, and my tall cabinets (fridge /freezer/ pantry) have 12" vertical pulls. As your picture shows, my pulls are not huge. In fact, I think some of mine are smaller than the ones shown (although I love the look you show as well!)

I have shaker cabinets with flat front drawers. All pulls, vertical on doors and horizontal on drawers. I used three different sizes, depending on the height or width of drawer/door.

You could get different size to "simulate" the position and size of each pull.

The photo that has mixed knobs, pulls looks cluttered. It looks like a floor sample display in a cabinets hardware store.

Follow up question, what do you think of matte black pulls against the walnut flat front lower cabinets and white shaker upper cabinets? Picture of my actual kitchen in progress below (you can see a yet-to-be-painted white shaker in the upper right corner)
