Pub style table or island?

Dilemma: we are freshening up the house and ready yo address the single days pub/bistro style table. I assumed we would try and find a replacement table but the husband thought maybe an island. Intriguing but I don't know what would work best! TABLE PROS We have a family of three (a tween) .. Someone always stands at dinner but that sounds worse than it is! It works totally fine and no one complains. We have a formal dining but dont use it much. we chat in kitchen while cooking.... Kitchen has a butler area type nook
To walk through before reaching kitchen. ISLAND PROS: would give another surface to make lunches, prep. Main island is odd shaped but has several outlets which is great for blenders, etc. but is too small to have more than one person (I need space to spread!).

Since our
Kitchen connects to great room where we mostly hang out and the whole wall connecting the rooms is windows. I could adapt to using our formal table. I want the room to flow well and I don't know if an island would be a good choice! I like this style http://www.wayfair.com/Castleton-Home-Kitchen-Island-Cart-with-Stainless-Steel-Top-kcrtss-DFFS1001.html

There is about 75 inches of window space in the area a table or island could be. I took photos with my existing outdated table and then pictures without the table so the space can be seen. Other pics include how the room flows and the kitchen butler area to get to formal table. Looking forward to feedback and all ideas!
