Fireplace tile/ledgestone advice please!

Hi, I'm in the middle of my facelift reno and have gotten stumped at the refacing of the fireplace and could really use everyone's advice. Originally I was going to go with a unique ledgestone they had a kind of wood grain in it (pictured), then when the cement board was put on I started to lean to tile.

If I go tile I need a certain size, 18x36 as I don't want too many lines and this fits perfectly with three in a row with a few cut adjustments. The hearth was fabricated with soapstone to match the kitchen soapstone counters and bar. So, I have brought tile home..cement theme etc..can't decide light or charcoal black (black are difficult to coordinate I'm finding). I have a designer and tile layer helping me, but I need way more help as the tile layer says ledgstone has seen its Day and the designer likes what I chose and was leaning dark. If we go light, we will change the color on the walls from a grey mist Ben Moore which really looks like a light grieve..to something darker, right now they are just primed.

please feel free to jump in a tell me anythin, thoughts ideas etc.
