I agree , what do you do with the cushions?

Are the cushions made with outdoor fabric and is the fill suitable for outdoors? If the answer to both is yes, then the cushions are able to be left outside. I would recommend setting the cushions up on the sides after a heavy rain so that they will drain faster. Also, during the cold or winter months, you may consider moving the cushions into a storage area since they probably won't be used during that time.

or you can use outdoor covers

Look into cushions made of quick-dry foam, which lets water pass through rapidly. The ideal cushion covers should be constructed to 1) block as much water as possible and 2) let water that does get through escape quickly, perhaps through open mesh on the underside. Finally, there are new fabrics that really do repel water, such as Sunbrella Rain, by Glen Raven, Inc. Leave them out year-round.

It would be great if the seats lifted so that cushions could be stored underneath.
