I'd probably wait a year. I've had hostas look virused one year and never show signs again. If it really has HVX, it's not going to get better.

If you do remove it, wait for fall. For some reason HVX is less contagious then. Soak the ground, then pry it up on the side away from Valley's Glacier. Put a plastic bag over V.G. before you start so the two plants don't touch. If you can get Kiwi F.M. out of the ground without breaking the roots, you should be fine. Even if the roots do break, unless you also break V.G. you should still be okay. Try to get every bit of root you can. And of course, try not to break any leaves on either plant and sterilize your tools when you're done.

There's no reason Valley's Glacier should be infected, unless you've used the same tool on both without cleaning it.
