I did not know there were so many varieties of hostas!!!

Check out Naylor Creek, they have even more varieties than Hallson's, both places are excellent, and very nice people.

If you really want to be overwhelmed, go to hostalibrary.org and look through the 7500+ varieties they have listed.

kathyg- Let me introduce you to the Hosta Library. There are over 6,000 varieties. Just click on a letter, any letter and settle in for the day. Edit: Posted before I saw the dhaven's reply. Yikes, up to 7,541 hostas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't resist purchasing Mini Skirt last night at one of those big box stores. It fell into my cart!

I have Baby Bunting thanks to you, dhaven! It nearly died in my garden. But I moved it to a pot (as was suggested) and it is thriving there for now. I will plant it back in the ground in the Fall or put it in my raised bed for the winter. It's a treasure for sure!

While you are shopping the sale, check out Flamenco Mouse on the regular list (not on sale). This is a sport of Blue Mouse Ears that Chris Wilson discovered and named, and it's probably my favorite of the Mouse hostas. It's distinctively wavy leaves and striped flowers are very attractive, but what I like most about it is that it grows well, which is not usually the case with the Mouse hostas. If you like the Mice, check it out.

Too bad Rainbow's End is not on their sales list. Mine was treated for southern blight last year and seemed to survive it. It came up this year, but did not develop normal pointy leaves. Now, it's browning and obviously on its way out. Does anyone know of a sale on this from a reputable seller?

While I read this forum daily, I've been wondering where to get some new varieties. I'm in Zone 7 and a "newbie" to hostas. The few varieties I have are thriving in spite of my ignorance. I'm anxious to add some new ones.

Any one have any favorites to suggest? I'd love input!
