This has happened on several of mine too. I don't know what causes it but I have noticed as the leaves grow they smooth out and look normal. It's as if the area between then veins is growing faster than the veins.

Sounds like you have nutrients, so adding nutrients may not be the first option. Consider flushing the container at the next watering...some of mine shoot deformed leaves. Definitely can be puzzling. A mild solution of liquid seaweed extract can provide alot of micronutrients without adding harsh chemicals. Anything you can do to lower the pH, slightly?

I thought it could be a ph issue. Hence the miracid. Maybe that's giving them too much nitrogen overall? No trace of burning though, and the plants don't have the deep green that I associate with heavy nitrogen application. I'll add some H2SO4 and see if that helps. I got a lifetime supply of sulfuric acid used for batteries from the auto parts store and sometimes I add a few drops of it to the watering can for acid lovers.

None of this really explains the aborted inflos. After doing more on line research it looks like overwatering can do this. I'll also cut back on the water some. I'll let the plants wilt ever so slightly before watering. I've been watering all me plants more heavily than earlier in the season. Since so many of my potted plants have needed watering two, or even three times a day due to the heat I've probably watered my plumerias when they were still wet. I could have been leaching out nutrients since I was only fertilizing (beyond the small amount of Osmocote) every other week. I'll see if this helps. Thanks!

I think you’re over-fertilizing. If you are having a lot of heat currently, like most of the cont. US, remember that most of the time delay ferts increase availability with increased temps. How is your biweekly fertilizer applied?
