Your home is stunning and perfectly fits in South Carolina. There's a reason there's red brick homes everywhere- it's the style in that location. Painted brick requires regular maintenance. It's not a one and done deal. I definitely wouldn't do grey painted with a grey roof either unless you want one grey blob. I say stick with the classic red brick that will never go out of style. A cape cod in SC would just look out of place.

That's a lovely house and I wouldn't paint it. As pointed out above, once you do, you have to maintain it and re-paint periodically. It's not going be cheap to do right and neatly, I'd rather use the money on vacation or (lots of) new clothes, new furniture, remodeled kitchen, hardwoods throughout....

Some people prefer painted brick - I get it. If I were to paint it, it would be white or a very light gray. Lovely home.
