It was in my last kitchen. They had just tiled it before I moved in, but only moved the fridge and stove to tile underneath, so they used the rubber cove everywhere else to hide the edge. It was perfectly fine.

Johnsonite comes in a zillion colors, and has profiles other than the standard base. There are inside and outside corners that make for a much better look than most typical installers will do.

My contractor is a perfectionist, so I am not really too worried.

One downside is the way it is supplied, which seems to be 4 foot sections or 120-foot rolls.
