Superiore gas range (technogas)

Does anyone have experience with this range? It's been made in Italy for a long time, but has only been in the US for a couple of years. Anyone have one? I'm looking at a 30 inch, vs. the DCS, which is 1000$ more expensive.

I'l love to hear any info anyone has. Thx.

Hu- Just curious if you've yet decided on a range. Likewise we are looking at the Superiore 30" (panoramic) vs. a Bertizoni. Please let me know what you decided on, and how you like it!

Jora. I bought the Superiore and it was shipped from AJ Madison, and has arrived not working properly. It's gorgeous, and if they honor the warranty and get it ship shape, I'd say go for it. If Techogas/superiore gives me flack, I'd say stay away from it and get the Bertizoni. I'll let you know...

Hu - Thank you for your quick response. I did extensive reading (both on this site as well as Amazon), and although we are IN LOVE with both Bertozini, it's getting horrible reviews. Difficult to find any info. on Superiore. May I ask what you are experience with it not working properly? We are seriously leaning toward Superiore now (and mildly considering Blue Star) since Bert. is out of the pix!

I bought the range from AJ Madison, so it was trucked all the way to the west coast, and I think it got banged around in the truck. So...some of the burners are not igniting properly. I think it will be easy to fix -- I'm just waiting to see how they handle it. If it all gets adjusted properly, and they are not jerks, I think I'll love it. If not...hmmm. I'll let you know.

The Blue Star is awesome, but actually runs too high (hot) for our loft. We don't have enough ventilation. I read not good things about the Bertozini (being touchy,) so we'll see if the Technogas is the same.

I also could not find any info on the Technogas. It was total emotional buy.

The parts that are working right are awesome.

What have you used so far that you enjoy? For us is completely emotional as well, but function matters a lot since I both cook and bake a lot! May I ask why you chose to purchase from AJ and not someplace local? From what I understand the prices of these (and similar) ovens are fixed and unless the company itself is running a promotion on the items (i.e. free hood, etc.), the stores selling them are prohibited from giving discounts or doing any sales.

I would love a Blue Star, but my issue is the drip tray that has to be cleaned regularly. For me, it would be a daily thing since I both cook almost everyday AND am OCD about things looking perfectly clean!

Also, may I ask for a picture of yours in the kitchen. Would love to see how it looks in a 'living' kitchen! :)

I'll try and upload a photo. You'll have to excuse the no tile above it (we put in a new small microwave above, which is GREAT, because we didn't have proper clearance above, and now have to fill in the tile. So far I've baked, and made pasta (perfect, boils so fast and keeps the water boiling super high,) and regular cooktop dishes, searing fish, pancakes, easy stuff. It's good. I cook a lot of Italian food, so wanted the super low simmer for sauces -- but haven't tried it yet. I also make pizza a lot, but haven't yet tried it.

    I'll try a photo...

My local dealers couldn't get one. I had no choice.

White space above the granite is where we need to tile.

Thank you Hu. Your kitchen is beautiful (I didn't even notice the missing tile until you mentioned it)! Your stove is gorgeous. Please keep me posted on the functionality. :)

Thanks. I'll call them today. Our kitchen and living room are all one huge room (renovated warehouse,) so the look is important to me.

So far so good! Phone tech was polite and immediately arranged for service under warranty. I think mine got tweaked in transit, so buy locally if you can.

Same question here! Are you still happy with purchase, Hu? Anyone else have personal experience with superiore range?

Hi Melanie and Maria - We just got our Superiore delivered today, even though we'd purchased it end of last year.

I was skittish when it first came, and more so after the delivery guy said that almost every install he does is the Wolfe, and it didn't help that it'd been so long since we purchased that I couldn't really remember what it looked like in person.

But once the installation was completed, I took a look and my heart just 'skipped a beat'. It's STUNNING! So much so, that although I'm an avid cook and baker, I do not want to TOUCH my range.

Since install was just completed late this evening, haven't had a chance to use it yet. However, when the install guy tested the range, to ensure proper installation, he was at awed at how much more powerful it is compared to a Wolfe.

Any follow ups on Superiore range function and customer satisfaction?... I noted that main oven BTUs are somewhat less than other ranges... Interested in oven performance.

I'm also interested in the superiore but cant find reviews anywhere, @Jora can you let us know if you are still satisfied with your range? Any issues?

Just wondering if anyone has an update on the superiore, since it’s now been a while??

Superiore is Inferiore. it is a nightmare. the company died nothing to support the product. They kept trying to blame my plumbers for the install, when it was correctly installed. Oven kept shutting off. Ruined Christmas dinner, Thanksgiving 2021, and a host of meals in between.. (I do know how to cook!) Oven temp off. the company wont even provide engineering support to its designated warranty repair company. Finally the oven and broiler ignition just died. No help from distributor. Stay away! my architect will never use it again - i am finally getting a replacrment - NOT a Superiore.

Do NOT buy a Superiore!!! We have had a 36" dual fuel range since 2018. It has never worked properly and we have had no luck in getting it fixed. It has been a nightmare finding a company that will work on it; a couple of companies that came out to diagnose refused to come back because it was so hard to communicate with the Italian company about problems and parts. Our oven preheats way past the set temperature. It blew a fuse while preheating one day and since then it takes over an hour to preheat to 400F. At this point the retailer where I purchased it has finally sent someone (they stated upfront that they don't service Superiore) who identified two parts that need replacement, but they have been unable/unwilling(?) to find the part numbers and where they can be found. My Italian son-in-law communicated with the Italian Superiore HQ since OnPoint (warranty company that used to handle Superiore warranty claims) no longer works with them. He was told that we should find out from OnPoint where to purchase the parts, and the OnPoint contact phone number refers callers to Italian HQ! Arghhhh! I am ready to throw in the towel and just replace it. In my opinion, Superiore products should not be sold by reputable appliance dealers; it is a disservice to their customers.

Barbarajarvis86. Did you ever get the range fixed? I am currently in need of a part for my Superiore 36” range and cannot get a part number.

We have a 36” Superiore and has been a nightmare from day one! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

I purchased the RN483_SS range and although I had planned to fuel it with natural gas, it turned out that the original owners of our home opted for electric appliances so the builders never ran NG lines to the kitchen. My only other option is to use LP. Because we bought the range as an open box item it did not come with the LP conversion orifices and because Tecnogas Superiore has pulled out of its US distribution, finding those has been a nightmare. If anyone who has a 36" or 48" Tecnogas Superiore range and has the LPG conversion orifices that ship with it and are willing to sell them, pls contact me at: jamin2086@gmail.com

and I will purchase them as we have no other way to fuel it.

My post is 100% legit and I never thought it would be this hard to find parts for this very stunning, but currently unusable range.

    Thx,

    Jamin

Hi Everyone, sorry I just noticed posts from a couple of years ago.

    Update on my Panoramic Superiore...

Well, it was Beautiful and had a good run while it lasted...and trust me when I say it didn't last long.

Baked a sourdough bread, took it out, and went in to bake the second and the oven would click on, then shut off....URGGGHHH...

This was Jan. last year, and hasn't worked since.

Though I hate to throw away a Beautiful and expensive range (the stove top still works), we've opted to get rid of it and just purchase the 30" GE Cafe.

    DO NOT BUY SUPERIORE...

Can anyone tell me where to find a griddle drip pan cover for our tecnogas/superiore range? It’s missing.
