First and foremost, where is your house located. If it is in a northern state where frost and freeze occur, multiple steps need to be done to insure you do not pull into your garage and find a skating pond.

Thanks Dan. I am located at the California. So there should not be any freezing problem. We have a power room and kitchen first floor together with the garage. No other clean up sink. It’s new construction so I would think I need a sink for heavy duty clean too like paint and tool cleaning.

I guess you answered your own question. Install a sink in the garage.

If you don't want the look of a traditional utility sink, consider a cabinet style like this.

Or you can add one to a cabinet that matches your current cabinets.

I think every house should have that kind of a sink somewhere. I have one in my basement shop. It can be in the laundry too. The garage is just fine.

I am jealous of "We live in California so there is no freezing problem." Dang it! I'm stacking wood for the stove right now...

@toxcrusadr, think about the pricing of the houses here (average price over 1 million), you would be more than happy stacking wood somewhere else other than California. :)

^^Ain't that the truth! My other half wanted to get a kayak the other day because it was on sale, thinking we'd go fishing more. I said, tell you what, we'll keep renting kayaks or canoes, and if we get where we're doing that more than 2-3 times a summer, it will be worth buying something. But we only go once, maybe twice now. Let's wait for the need to be there instead of thinking that if we buy something it's going to change our habits.
