fridge placement?

To the left of the fridge, did you guys have drywall? How did you get it so thin? I want to do something similar but it’s eating into the walk way too much. Do you remember the width of the walkway space?

It was a 4 foot wide walkway. There was a cabinet that the fridge was built into. I believe there was drywall on the right side but not the left, but I can’t remember specifically on that house.
