I love it. In its glory in the spring, kinda quiet and subtle the rest of the time

my question would be.... how well it will transplant??? .. especially in the heat of a MI summer ...

thanks! I completely agree with you, but the plants will be killed today either way. At least they get a chance here.

My friend also has “Feverfew” , but Iam most sure if this gets out of control easily.

its been near 100 for the last 2 weeks.. here in our MI ....

dig a bunch ... put them in s nursery bed ... and try to nurse them along .. until fall.. when you can move them more freely ...

the idea of a nursery.. is just to keep them all together for now.. for extra TLC .... instead of say.. having to drag the hose all over kingdom come .. and then forgetting about half of them.. since they arent hosta.. lol ...

can i ask where you are.. big city name???

of course you have to get some ... key word .. FREE .... lol ... and you will learn something.. even if all it is.. is dont bother transplanting in july ....

I would dig as many as I could and keep the pieces as large as I could handle! I love this plant and its flowers. Great with hostas. It loves shade and average to moist soil.

Claudia, what Ken said and I have both. Pulmonarias are wonderful mainly for their foliage. Your particular one acts as a beautiful foil amongst other plants...like hostas. I have a sun tolerant one with thicker but long skinny leaves. Flowers in spring (like NHL’s photo shows) are beautiful and flower early.

Feverfew is so easy to pull out ;easier than weeds! and reseeds easily but has lovely chartreuse foliage and sweet little flowers. If you want reseeding at minimum then just deadhead plants before they set seed.

Hello everyone... I just came inside thinking just a little sitting and than off to take a showe :-) but now Iam thinking I got to get that feverfew I left behind :-)

i did get all of that pulmonaria. It does look a little different than on the picture I found online. We see how it does ... I also got a big big piece of a Hosta ... I know but I just couldn’t pass... that took me the longest to even dig out not ruining the mother plant.

Wow a good sized division!! At first pic I was sure Brother Stefan, second pic I thought perhaps GE. GE has whiter petioles where BS has light green but the similarities are close ... based on what I have. You sure lucked in, Claudia!

I am cleaning up dried leaves in the garden and watering a bit of shaded plants. Here are the two kinds of pulmonaria I have but there are more varieties out there...this is the upright variety and very hardy and well behaved. Just cut off all the many flower stalks.
