I don't know but you should relax, get some peace, and not let wondering about what the neighbors think bother you. There just weeds. No biggie. Mow and they dissapear for a while. Monoculture lawns are destroying the enviroment.

Just an FYI but Trugreen used to be known as Chemlawn before a name change.......that should tell you something. And I personally know of a couple of horror stories about that organization and wouldn't contract with them if someone paid me to!!

Weeds develop in lawns that are not properly maintained. You might want to look into what practices are recommended for your area wrt overseeding, aerating, improving drainage and soil fertility, fertilizing, type of seed, etc.

Keep in mind that most lawn grasses are not native, and most of the "weeds" are. All of it can be mowed without worrying about exactly what it is. Trying to grow a monoculture of exotic lawn grass involves endless effort and expense.

If you want a lawn for a place for your kids or pets to play, it should not be full of chemicals, and lawns with an interesting variety of tiny flowers are more fun to play in, speaking from the kid part of my memory. The only people who really care about what's in your mowed area are the folks who would profit from selling things to you, like a lawn service, from having successfully cultivated a belief in you that some of the plants are weeds.
