Is this a workable layout?

We're in the very beginning stages of remodeling our upstairs main bath, masterbath and master cloest. The house was built in 1970 and it hasn't been updated since. I've been playing with layouts to see what could be possible. Our master closet space is tiny so that's a priority as well as the masterbath counter space. We don't need two sinks but more counter space (ignore the second sink in the layout, we'd have an offset sink on a 60" vanity).

The hall bath has so much wasted space so I think we can borrow from that to increase our closest size. We have two kids who use the main bath. They say they don't mind sharing a sink and would prefer more countertop space so that would be a counter of 54". Or, to add storage, we could do a 42" top with 12" linen cabinet? Or is there a better space for storage I'm not seeing?

I'd love here your thoughts on this space. I have three contractors so far coming out between today and next week to get estimates.

Here's the current layout:

And what I think could work:
