not an expert, but watering is not crucial to rooting. My best success was rooting in pure pumice on a heat mat in a greenhouse in summer (so hot and humid) and I rarely watered (less than 1 time a week).

Containertime, Stick to what you’re doing. Once a set of leaves appear You can water more but be on the stingy side. The cutting will be fine.

Yikes, I have been watering mine every day. They seem to be thriving and growing well. They are in full sun, but I will cut down a bit.

I water mine every other day, June, and they are thriving and blooming beautifully.

Based off of all of this, I will water the day after the soil dries out.
