Painting mantel & fireplace door

I just painted the 1960s paneling to match walls in living room. Should I paint
Fireplace mantel to match wall or leave it stained? Should I paint the fireplace doors? I think I would paint the door frame, but not the glass frame..leave that gold? It's hard to tape off and paint the door and not mess it up. I can't take frame out of fireplace to paint. Thank you for your help.

Since you can't remove the frame, keep it all like it is. Lucky for you, brass tones are in! What color are your walls? They look yellow but am wondering if your light bulbs are making it yellow? Regarding the mantle depends what else is going on in the room.

Thank you for your comments. I am leaving as is, brass is popular for now, plus being traditional. The wood mantel picks up rest of wood pieces in room.
