I bought this Zone 7 house a year ago. It has a LOT of formal plantings, turf, beds. I would guestimate almost an acre requires maintenance.

I have the normal afflictions with weeds -- ground ivy, wild strawberries, oxalis, spurge, nutsedge, crab grass, plus a bunch of others I'm not even sure what the names are. I also live on the water, with a rip rap shoreline, which very aggressive water loving weeds finding homes in the rock crevices. Over the year, I've tried a lot of different stuff, and am confident now in the program I have for many of these weeds. I still need some suggestions.

I use Bayer's Brush Killer on the water loving weeds in the rip rap, spraying only at low tide and as carefully as I can. I've used a flame thrower device on these also, before I discovered that Bayer's was effective, and I had little success. Their structure is so water filled, the flame seemed to do nothing. Bayer's is also the only thing that really knocks out the tree seedlings that sprout in the mulch in many areas of the property.

In the lawn, my go to is Weed B Gone, which I find does a good job on almost all lawn weeds I have except crab grass, and spurge. The internet is quite full of complaints about Weed B Gone and crabgrass. It does work on Spurge, but not as effectively as one would hope. Sometimes a respray is required, and infrequently a patch of spurge just doesn't seem affected at all.

In every bed where weeds grow, I use Round Up and am happy with that. I use Sedgehammer on the nutsedge.

Thus, when I head out in the AM to attack the property, my lawn tractor's trailer has three two gallon sprayers sitting in it: Bayer's Brush Killer, Ortho Weed B Gone, and just recently added, Sedgehammer. But I'm unhappy with the results I am (not) achieving with crabgrass and spurge. Is there another product (or worse --- two) that would address these issues better? If there is, can it be used in conjunction (i.e., mixed) with another product i am already using? I see my trailer filling up with more spray tanks as I acquire more weed specific herbicides.
