I'm not a decorator, but lots of colors go with chocolate brown. Aqua, turquoise, light blues, mint greens, yellow, orange, even some shades of pink. I would choose white or very pale cream for wall colors.

I've always liked blue and cream with brown.

Blue, green, turquoise, teal, yellow, orange, purple would work.
