Need help with garden steps

Good morning. I would like to incorporate this step design at the end of my deck by the water side. Is this a good option.

Hi Amy. It is difficult for me to advise you on this without seeing the area. This is a good simple design that should work anywhere.

The containers on the steps are zinc and were bought at Smith and Hawkins (alas, no longer in business), and the big one in the middle of the garden was bought at Restoration Hardware. Thanks for your interest!
