I'm really inspired by your garden, manyhosta! The hostas are beautiful, but so are the companions! Ligularia always catches my attention... I may have to find a good spot for it... It looks wonderful with the Shade Fanfare - I just got one of those this year because I also love that color.

And - the cute little yellow-flowering ground cover around Luna Moth... is that a variety of sedum?

Yes, sedum. It came with my house 30 years ago, and I don'tdon't know its name.

I forgot Orange Marmalade. It's not much of a bloomer but showy nonetheless.

That picture with honeybells could be on a postcard! Prettier than most gardening magazine shots. The mix of plants is just outrageous! Love love love it!

It amazes me that you can have so many of the hostas mixed in with the sun-lovers! Guess that’s the difference a couple of zones can make.

We had deep shade until the most recent years. Our suburban forest is aged and coming down throughout the neighborhood. We took out 5 huge spruce and a 65 year old maple this spring and hope to renew our shade somewhat in our lifetimes.
