are you doing this under lights??? ... if so.. you have probably created an artificial stimulus consistent with spring???

This is indoors under lights. While rooting the cuttings are under an LED and fog, 20 hours with the light on and 4 off. Relatively low light levels to prevent stress.

I am using Dip n' Grow this year for rooting hormone, and have primarily been working with softwood cuttings so I am using 15x to 20x dilution.

After rooting and showing the first signs of new growth, the cuttings are potted up to 6" pots, fertilized with a slow release fertilizer, and put under a different light - a metal halide - for 16 hours on/8 off. This step is to provide as much time as possible under "ideal" conditions for growth (temperature, light levels, humidity, etc.) before moving them outside - as summers where I am are often above 90°.

When they are showing signs of outgrowing those pots, they are potted up again (anywhere from a 1 gallon to a 3 gallon - whatever I have lying around - I get leftover white plastic pots from a local landscaping company) and moved outdoors.
