I had a fantastic day today. My daughter's sister-in-law is the owner of Prairie Sky Quilting. She has developed many patterns, tools and the Fun and Done method of quilting. She also makes incredible show quilts. Today, my daughter and I visited her studio and got to see her show quilts in person. Wow! They are magnificent. Unfortunately, the colors just don't pop in the photos the way they do in person. She gave me one of her books and ten patterns as well as her Folded Corner Clipper - a tool for making snowballs, binding, and the like.

Then my daughter and I went to about four vintage shops. She found a 1960's dress that was beautifully handmade and looked adorable on her. Then we went to see a stage production of West Side Story at the Guthrie Theater, our world-renown repertory theater. It was so wonderful. Nice day, huh? Lucky me.
