Hi! Decor to match bedding

Hi! I redoing the master bedroom the walls are painted a light yellow color so I thought this bedding would match. I need suggestions for lamps, curtains and wall decor. Thank you!

So nice of you to make a lovely room for your Mom. I love your bedspread. I love your iron bed. The problem is that both have alot of movement and then compete with each other. If you can't or don't want to return either of them, Consider folding the bedspread across the foot of the bed, but have a solid color found in the spread for the majority of the bed. Since your walls are yellow, I'd go with a darker bolder color, found in the pattern of your spread. Then carry that color through with a ceramic lamp that compliments your room. you already have alot of iron there. As for artwork above the bed, I'd go with something soothing looks of nature. Something along these lines. Notice that they are not too busy, but blend the colors. Make the bedroom a retreat, calm and inviting. Too much pattern is not relaxing. If you are looking for a rug, make it solid color, neutral.

Hardwood floors and a iron bed. This is the best picture I could find of the bed.

I’m not sure what to put above the bed and what kind of side lamps?

May I suggest because your bed has nice lines that could "show more" with less pattern, that you consider other bedding?

I did think about buying other bedding but I’m redoing my parents bedroom and just thought this fit my mom’s personality

What are their end tables made of-stained wood? Painted? If painted, what color are they? I would stick with a simple white curtain.

Several different styles of lamps and lots of colors. I'd get the bedding on the bed and then go from there.

I would hang art over the bed. The lamps could have colorful bases in one of the colors from the bed linens. It will be bright and cheerful.

The end tables are similar style to the bed frame. They are wrought iron with a glass top. I already ordered the bedding so I’m going to stick with it for now. I’m not sure what I should put above the bed.

I would do black metal lamps or light wood ones to go with the floor color.

The hardwood is more of a medium tone. I bought all the pillows I know the teal is such a pretty color I’m just don’t know since the walls are a pale yellow I’m confused

You'll be less confused if you wait for the bedding and see what it actually looks like in the room before you make any more purchases. If we actually see the room with the bedding on the bed, it will help us to help you a lot easier.

Lacey, that's a beautiful set of bedding, keep it! I would go with the aqua blue tones, if your mom likes blue, for lamps, I have one of the lamps Ted listed from Lamps Plus and they are nice. Although the coral is pretty, the blue might be more soothing...and both would go with the yellow walls. The curtains could be white and some white accessories to tie it in. Seems the background of the bedspread is more of a cream, so you might try that.

Great advice to wait til the comforter arrives to pick your accent colors. Keep in mind you're background will be the yellow walls. Pick a few colors in the comforter, then let your Mom pick if she is able. Again, keep in mind this should be a calming space, not full of bright busy colors. Actually 28" may not be too high. How tall is the headboard? Look at the photo you just posted. Note how the lamps are in proportion to the headboard. You want to avoid having ones that are too short as they won't give off much light especially for reading if that is something your parents do. And you want to make sure they are in proportion to the size of the top of the night stands so that they aren't taking up the whole top. Is this a guest room for them or their actual bedroom?

And in regards to those candle holders. Because you already have the iron bed and stands, I'd stay away from adding more iron as it won't add any visual interest. A painting above the bed is really the way to go.
